A few weeks ago my fellow photogfriend, Jason Baisdon and I, attended a photography lecture at the Birmingham Museum of Art. The lecture was by Carlin Wing, who has a very interesting perspective to say the least. Basically she will not photograph people because of ethical reasons. For example, she has a series of photographs of the carpet of Carnival cruise ships. Also a series of ceilings that she has slept under. Anyway, Jason and I decided to go a couple of hours before the lecture started, and did some shooting around downtown. This is some of what I got. The best part of the day was a bowl of chili and a grilled cheese from Sophia's. Man, if you have not had their chili, .. Go get ya some!
Photonerdnote-The square images were shot with a holga using color slide film cross processed to create funky colors. The rectanglular pictures were shot using a Pentax 6x7 loaded with Kodak 400vc.
